The Community Initiatives of New York (TCIONY) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to serving and empowering underserved and underrepresented black and brown communities in New York City. Collaborating with government agencies, corporate partners, and local leadership, TCIONY operates at the intersection of community engagement and strategic partnerships. Through its innovative programs and initiatives, TCIONY hopes to promote equity and connect vital resources to those who need them most.

Since 2020, we have served over 5000 young people across New York City.
Through our various initiatives, TCIONY has connected some of the city's most vulnerable populations with the resources they need to thrive. We build relationships with city agencies, high-ranking government officials, important figures in business, and other community leaders to strengthen access to resources and spaces where their voices need to be heard. We have hosted over 200 events, large and small since we started.

One of our priorities is to tell the stories of those we serve, to change the negative narratives about the younger generation, and to restore dignity to communities that have been overlooked.
